Slippery Fish

Tiffany & Keven, you'll have to correct this if it's wrong. While we were cleaning things out at mom & dad's Saturday, we came upon the hand written words to the song that Logan has taught us all. Mom and Tracie and I all wanted the words written down somewhere so we could remember them and be able to sing them with Logan when we're with him. So here's what the note said, but I'm not sure who wrote it, so it may need some correcting.
Now, if we could just find the tune somewhere!
Slippery Fish, Slippery Fish, swimming in the water
Slippery Fish, Slippery Fish, gulp, gulp, gulp.
Oh no, it's been eaten by a...
Octopus, an Octopus, swimming in the water,
Octopus, an Octopus, gulp, gulp, gulp.
Oh no, it's been eaten by a...
Tuna fish, tuna fish, splashing in the water,
Tuna fish, tuna fish, gulp, gulp, gulp.
Oh no, it's been eaten by a...
Great white shark, great white shark, lurking in the water,
Great white shark, great white shark, gulp, gulp, gulp.
Oh no, it's been eaten by a...
Humongous whale, humongous whale, spouting in the water,
Humongous whale, humongous whale, GULP, GULP, GULP!
BURP!!! PARDON ME!!!

Our Dad!

You just get better with age dad! I remember dreading your "advice" as a youth, now I can't get enough of it! I'm so glad you live close by and we get to be together often. Thank you for sharing your testimony and guidance with us always. You are such a hard worker and incredible example to all of us! We love you! Happy 65th!!

Quincy Lakes Hike

While we were in Quincy earlier in July, Darrin, Craig, Bridger and Teagin went for a little hike down to the Quincy Lakes.
(I'm trying to learn how to put a bunch of little pictures on here, but can't get it to work. You'll have to click on the picture to see the other photos.)

Memories

Today, Kimberly and I were talking about memories of growing up and I thought it would be a great idea to start a blog where we can all add our memories, pictures, etc. This is all new to me, but thought I'd give it a try. It will be like a family website which we can all add items to.

So, I'll start with a few things in list form that Kimberly and I thought of. If you want to add more details, just start another post. Call me if you need help! I hope everyone will find this a fun way to keep in touch!

My earliest memories (thanks mostly to pictures): Watching the owl in the big tree at the house in Cedar Green with Tracie. We also used to sit on the floor (red carpet) and watch TV looking up at a big bookshelf where the TV was perched.

The black leather couch at the house by Wally's. I used to sweat and stick to it when I laid down on it when I was sick. Was it leather? Or was it vinyl? The three girls dancing in the big yellow shop with mom's old dresses to the Ray Conniff singers and Abba!

Dancing on the kitchen table with Randy in the brick house to "Love will Keep Us Together" by Captain & Tanille while were "babysitting". (Sorry mom!)

Birthday party game of counting cows in the fields (kinda like M&M's in a jar)!

Cinderblock hideout at the trailer. I can't believe we built a little fire in there once! Where were the parents of those kids????Darrin & Brannen starting the fire in the white shop---black smoke everywhere! Or was it Todd? Isn't he the pyro? Give us more details, boys!

MANY trips to Mt. Rainier---usually at a moment's notice when dad had a free day or two. Loved those plastic bag rides down the snow!! Got pictures?Riding the 70 and three & four wheelers all over the ditchbanks from Grandpa Read's to Hammonds--what is that?...about 20 square miles? I think we learned to ride motorbikes before we learned to ride bicycles! :)
